A slightly delayed reporting of the 2016 season recap as our Press Officer is busy driving his new Rover 500 Watchlist around trying to look cool.
Temple Grafton CC celebrated the completion of a very testing 2016 season with a well attended event held at The Rustic Kitchen in Alcester on Friday 7th April. The food was excellent, as were the speeches conducted by Martin Ashfield, Chairman; Liam Killian (swear count in the low teens) and from Iceland via his proxy, Colin Taylor – Ian Young regaled us with his unique take on Sunday life.
Awards were presented to the following participants:
Players Player of the Year – Liam Killian
Batsman of the Year – Liam Killian
Bowler of the Year – Adam Kirk
Fielder of the Year – Kieran Williams
Saturday Player of the Year – Howard Benjamin
Sunday Player of the Year – Lewis Bilbrough
Hands of Spam – Mark Johnston
Duck Cup – Tom Thompson
There are some vague plans to hold the 2017 dinner at the end of this season – we’ll see about that though.
