As with previous tournament years, Mark Russell has again coordinated the TGCc World Cup Predictor Competition. Full details are outlined below, with a link to download the form.
Entry is open to EVERYONE, club member or not; please share the link around with your friends, family and work colleagues. The more entries we can get in, the sooner we can get the club facilities completed!
This has been a huge money spinner for us in the past. Now with a real urgent need to finish off our changing rooms we sincerely hope you can help again.
As part of Temple Grafton Cricket Clubs fundraising events for 2018 we are focusing our efforts on raising additional funds towards improving the facilities at the ground and therefore as part of this we will be running a competition on the 2018 World Cup starting on the 14th June.
The competition is to predict each of the scores in the group stages of the World Cup with a point being awarded for each of the games where the result is correctly chosen and a further two points where the correct score is recorded. Input your scores on either side of the games as shown in the example below.
To confirm the points calculation on the above opening game between Russia v Saudi Arabia if the score was 2 – 0 to Russia you would receive 1 point for predicting the correct outcome (ie Russia win) but would have only received an extra two points if you had recorded 2-0 as the score
In the event of more than one person having the highest overall score at the end of the competition then the tie breaker question will be used to select the individual closest to the number of goals scored in the group stages. Please ensure you complete this box as well as providing your details.
Each entry will cost £5 with 50% of the overall takings being paid out in prize money across first, second and third places with the other 50% going towards TGCC’s funds.
Either complete this electronically and e-mail back to myself at email@example.com
or print out, complete and post back to me with your entry fee to:
162 St Peters Way
Stratford Upon Avon
Payment can be made electronically (Mark will be able to confirm the account details if you email him directly)
Alternatively all forms can be passed back to a TGCC committee member together with the entry money.
Receipt of competition entries close prior to the commencement of the first game and those received after will not be included in the competition.
I hope you are able to support Temple Grafton Cricket Club in improving our facilities for both players and opposition.
